The new girl figured out the strategy I follow when I want a covered space on the rooftop. So when the bell rings, she too runs like crazy towards the stairs.

For a week, we have reached the rootop and each take an available place. Today was different: there was a single place with a shadow. I quickly turned, to let the new girl know she could take it, but she did the same.

I got surprised by us almost bumping into each other when reaching for the door. I said she should take the place, because she eats on the rooftop, and I just read. Between reading and eating, I think eating is more important.

The new girl hid her lunchbox behind her back and told me she was not going to eat that day. She said in fact she planned on using that spot to take a nap. I pointed at her arm behind her back and she said she didn't know what I was talking about.

I told her she should use the spot because I know other places on school just as good as that one, so it was not a problem for me to walk down the stairs. She then raised her finger and shouted "AHA!" because, according to her, she had just come up with a great idea.

If one of us reached the rooftop before the other, and all other shadow spots were taken, then he or she could reserve the lot for the other. The only price to pay on such occassions would be splitting the covered space, either on a 60-40 or 50-50 fashion. The specifics could be on the hands of the firstcomer.

I laughed on accident when the new girl finished telling me her plan. But I said that if she did not mind my presence, then I agree with the idea of splitting the shadow spot between the two. The new girl extended a hand as a symbol of peace. That's how she called it.

The new girl's name is Minori. I told her my name, but she had a hard time pronouncing it. Yeonwoo is a weird name for guys, so I suggested she shortens it to "Yeon", like Yuto calls me.
