Today, most things went fine. Minori and I became friends with Taeko and her boyfriend Kei, so I was recommending them the new history book I picked up. Kei does not seem like a book fan, but he is kind nonetheless.

Then, Kirin walked in with a cast on his arm. He looked tired and maybe a bit sad, but I honestly am not sure. It has been many years since I talked to him normally. We all deal with issues in private.

If it was not for Taeko's face, I would not have noticed that Kirin placed himself behind me. He coughed very loudly. When I turned around to say 'Hi', I realized that he was not looking at me but at Minori.

Kirin said he was sorry for what happened last Monday, and that he had time to reflect on his actions. He waved goodbye to both Minori and I, and grabbed his seat. I am glad Kirin apologized. It shows that Minori's plan worked.

After the events of last week, Minori said we should find friends so that our chances of being cornered by Kirin and his group are lowered. Seeing that the return of Kirin did not involve any punches, I think Minori was brilliant!

As class was about to start and we walked to our chairs, Taeko put her hand over Minori's head. She directed her eyes at me and asked whether Minori grew taller or if she was just crazy. I shrugged my shoulders, and stood up to investigate.

It is true that a week ago I could still see the top of Minori's head. She laughed when I said a bit louder than normal that "Oh my god, Minori, you grew a lot!"
